Dr. Vedprakash Kashirao Patil is a renowned educationist anda social figure. He was the Vice Chancellor for more than two terms of Marathwada Agriculture University, Parbhani & also of Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur.

Apart from this position he also worked as Dean, Faculty of Agriculture & Director of Instruction, Associate Dean & Principal, Associate Dean (Instruction), Head of the Department of Horticulture & Director of Extension Education, Research Officer (Cl.1), & Agricultural Officer

He worked as the President of Indian Agricultural Universities Association, Association od Indian Universities, Maharashtra Horticultural Society, Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.
